Ukraine's current borders are an artificial construct, much as was the case in the former Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia and elsewhere. Europe has always been tribal and tribal conflicts have been going on there for countless centuries.
That goes right along with PooTin's belief that (a) RuZZia has no borders, and (b) the Law of Conquest still has legitimacy in today's "rules-based world order."
