It won't remove embedded ads within videos like YouTube has, but it removes them elsewhere. It'll also take out those text boxes embedded within articles that point other articles, I did that yesterday for an ESPN article. I think I'll get most use out of to remove those annoying windows blocking the screen asking for an email address or to disable your ad blocker for their site. Basically, if the ad appears inside an iframe in the HTML code, it can remove it. I can't subscribe to every newspaper requiring that now to read one article showing up as a top search result. Sometimes I'll try to find other articles referencing the one I can't reach, that works sometimes. All of these companies now requiring subscription set up the problem themselves after decades of providing their content freely. It's why I like The Guardian's approach to it.
