Thanks Mark, Did anyone look at earnings from IDTC that came out yesterday? I found this passage very interesting, maybe you will agree.

<<INTERNET TELEPHONY Revenues for IDT's Internet telephony division in the second quarter were $2.7 million, up six-fold over same-period year-ago revenues of $0.4 million, and a 29% sequential increase over revenues of $2.1 million for the prior quarter. Total Net2Phone minutes of use grew to 5.7 million minutes for the quarter, a 50% increase over the prior quarter's 3.8 million minutes. The division's growth is due to continued worldwide demand for IDT's Internet telephony products and services. To date, over 15 million minutes of use have been routed using IDT's Internet telephony services by more than 300,000 customers in over 200 countries.
The Company also recently launched Net2Phone Direct, IDT's Internet-based long distance telephone service in the U.S. and Korea. Users can place calls over the Internet for as little as a nickel per minute. >>
Notice that all the revenue was from Net2Phone, not Net2Phone Direct the Phone-phone product. This is not a knock on IDTC, as I think they are a great company, but rather a way to illustrate a point to some of the people who feel the need for immediate revenue to be produced. No One in this business is truly reaping the reward for Phone-Phone via the Internet. This is an Emerging Sector and the people who have criticized FTEL for a lack of DVG sales, I ask them to point out ANY company's sales for DVGs. Folks this technology and this sector is just starting. No one is doing the business that is projected for the next two years, so dont feel that there is a need for an announcement this week, or the ship is lost. That is just not the way it is. |
