Could be. Although they had a real bad one back before modern times. Who knows how bad that one really was. When a hurricane meets the mountains, the wind and rain effects are magnified. Youngest son took this one in Spruce Pine NC -- there are some huge quarries nearby but I have little doubt those will be up and running lickety split. It's the residents who will have problems...
