A society has to do many things at the same time. Some problems are chronic like helping our inner cities, and some are immediate, like Ukraine.
But mostly a good society helps its citizens, and especially those in need!
Russia has invaded pretty much every country around it over the last 80 years. It is run by the Russian mafia and the civilized world needs to stop them!
And your question has to be seen in a larger context e.g. Trump cut taxes on the rich by almost 8 trillion dollars, and Bush by another 8 trillion.
And since Bush made the first huge tax cuts for the rich, which he said was for the rich, and over the last 50 years the rich have gained about 50 trillion dollars according to Robert Reich..
Do you think maybe it would have been better to spend those trillions, on solving the homeless problem, and helping our medical, educational and social systems, helping the seniors and children e.g. free pre school and school lunches, and helping the physically impaired?
PS if you disagree with me, can you make your argument?
Tell me what I have wrong. <
| | I disagree most what you say but that's ok I'm not here to convince you otherwise.
But I will leave you with one question. Do you think Baltimore, Detroit, and Cleveland should get the amount of funding we send to NATO and Ukraine? |
