Have knocked on high street (shoe) retailers a while but have taken a position in Shoe Zone PLC.

Management own a large percentage of the float and company is largely profitable (because of that relationship, perhaps) compared to others. I suspect this becomes a commodity business over time but management keep costs tight, compete on price and still manage to squeeze out a profit. Balance sheet is largely clean, but maybe they have to cut back on the dividend and share buybacks. Perhaps that creates a better price in the future, too.

I admit I really dislike the industry but it's cheap by all metrics.
