Bill,
My only complaint was how much money he and the Dems took from our kids to pay people for not working.
This is a fundamental question that will be debated for years to come, and it has little to do with Trump vs. Democrats.

The question is whether government should be paying people a ton of money for not working, at least temporarily, while we get through a crisis like the pandemic. The benefits vs. drawbacks really depend on whether you believe in free market capitalism, a.k.a. rugged individualism, or whether you believe in socialism, a.k.a. the Nanny State.

It's easy to be a free market capitalist until you realize that even self-proclaimed "free market capitalists" in this nation are not all that good at "rugged individualism." Liberals LOVE to remind you that the "blue states" pay more in federal taxes than they take in welfare benefits.

On the other hand, the drawbacks of the Nanny State should be plain and obvious to anyone right of Alexandria Occasional-Cortex.

It's not an easy question, and there really are no right or wrong answers. What I AM sure about is that few of our leaders really appreciate any of the above.

Going back to Trump, I might like him more IF he demonstrated the same level of economic literacy that Javier Milei demonstrated.
