RIO, WRLG, CEE

Rio2 aka RIO hit a multi-year high on news they had received all the permits they need to finalize financing and begin construction on their Fenix gold mine in northern Chile. The build will commence next month, with the financing announcement out before then. Apparently they are considering submissions from multiple institutions.

My long term target for RIO remains $2.

West Red Lake Gold aka WRLG released another set of new drill results from their Madsen property in Ontario, which they purchased after Pure Gold went bankrupt. This time the holes were into the Upper 8 target, located up-dip from 8 Zone which currently holds an Indicated Resource of 87k oz Au @ 18 g/t and an Inferred Resource of 18k oz Au @ 14.6 g/t.

WRLG's geologists see Upper 8 as analogous to the 8 Zone, with the advantage that it is shallow enough to be drilled from surface. so they have added another rig in the hopes of eventually finding a similar set of Resources.

Madsen has always been known to have lots of high grade gold deposits, with the question being whether those ounces can be extracted economically. Until we hear more about their plans it is hard to put a number on what the discovery at Upper means, but certainly another high grade deposit close to surface can't hurt.

And this is where I cease coverage of Centamin aka CEE. I have received my last dividend before the buyout by Anglogold Ashanti, and IMO PM equity prices have likely peaked for now, so it was time to pull the trigger and sell my CEE shares. I will be keeping the cash aside for more purchases when equity prices are lower in the coming months.

Overall, it was a successful trade. It took some years, but I sold for nearly triple what I originally paid for the shares, and the dividends I have collected are enough to push it past the triple.
