May you live in interesting times. Markets weren’t bad last week, but that can change on a dime.
Let’s see, employment up, recent interest rate cut, gas prices hit new lows but heading up due to concerns about the Middle East, and yet another hurricane about to plow through Florida, which could make insurance companies a bad investment.
TOMATO is closing the gap with BULBAMAN, making it more of a contest than a slam dunk.
HROW and CRVS were in the top five performers for the week, as well as for the year-to-date, so just add them to the list of usual suspects. CU6.AX is in the bottom five for the week, despite remaining in the top five YTD. I don’t have the stomach or attention span for day-trading, but these must be dream stocks for those so inclined.
For what it’s worth, when I was a young child, my family occasionally went on a winter vacation on Treasure Island, Florida. WIde sand beaches. Great place for a little kid to play and build castles in the sand. Near St. Pete/Tampa.
I saw pictures after Hurricane Helene showing the entire island flooded, now it is in the crosshairs of a second hurricane. Best wishes to everyone there.
