There are stories out there, during his service he was trying to be cool, while sitting in his plane on the Aircraft carrier, McCain accidentally fired a missile killing 2-3 (?) injuring navy men, destroying part of main deck. It was covered up because his father being an Admiral.
Another is, when he was shot down in Vietnam, he gave vital location information to the enemy. Some called him a traitor..

4-5 years ago read online, and several others who were there, or knew of, stated their reactions of him. Not good.
