Just got back from my first golf trip to Ireland. I have been to Scotland 3 times We played Portmarnock, County Louth Baltray, Royal County Down, Old Head, Waterville, Ballybunion and Lahinch Royal County Down and Waterville were both played in 30-40 mph winds with pouring rain. Royal County Down, the rain let up after around 12-13 holes, Waterville it let up when we made the turn at 10, and the back nine was in brilliant sunshine, 60 degrees. On both 1st tees, you could only laugh and say, What the hell are we doing?? I wouldn't have missed it for the world, the memories will last forever. Ballybunion
