I have already heard bout this double hit accelerating the depopulation of Florida, particularly since insurance companies are increasingly refusing to cover Floridian homes and businesses. The likes of New Orleans, Galveston and Houston are already a long way down the same path.

Predictions are that there could be up to a billion climate change refugees within the next 30 years unless we immediately take drastic action to curb GHG emissions. Florida will be adding millions to that roster. Just imagine a direct Cat 5 hit on Miami Beach, which is already barely above the (constantly rising) sea level.

I take no pleasure in having predicted this correctly many years ago.
