I never took any real hard drugs but I had a good friend who was a druggie so I tried half a tab of mescaline once and on a trip to California took the pills truck drivers used to stay awake. Never took them again. Stopped smoking weed because it affected my short term memory which I needed in my job. In the 80's I shared a joint of BC bud with 3 other people and it messed me up so I stopped totally. Wasn't much of a drinker as I got sick on almost every Alcohol drink but beer. biggest mistake i ever made was drinking lemon gin then beer
