| | | Tenchu's Thoughts: Who is the Q Continuum, and Why Are They Bad for The Republican PartyI do not know what the "Q Continuum" is, but I've never seen anyone but you use the term. Of course. I came up with the phrase.
The Q Continuum is a large group of far-right political activists who have given into conspiracy theory mongering.
The Q Continuum believes in the most batshit crazy of ideas.
The Q Continuum has hijacked the Republican Party and completely shut down any serious discussion over policy, ideology, and implementation.
Some examples:
- Sane people: How should we regulate abortion? Should we leave it to the states, or should Congress pass a law?
- Q Continuum: tHeY'rE aBoRtInG bAbIeS aFtEr bIrTh!
- Sane people: How should we reform immigration so that we can keep the criminals out, let the good people in, and manage the increase in demand for public services?
- Q Continuum: tHeY'rE eAtInG tHe dOgS! tHeY'rE eAtInG tHe cAtS!
- Sane people: How can we manage a potential future pandemic that minimizes deaths while at the same time minimizing the impact to the economy?
- Q Continuum: cOvId iSn'T rEaL! tHe cLoT sHoT cAuSeS aIdS!
- Sane people: How can we avoid WWIII, especially in the face of RuZZia using nuclear blackmail in order to entertain PooTin's imperialist fantasies?
- Q Continuum: zElEnSkY iS cOrRuPt! nAtO sTaRtEd tHe wAr! tRuMp cAn eNd tHe wAr iN oNe dAy!
- Sane people: How can we nurture an economy that benefits everyone and keeps America's leadership going?
- Q Continuum: gLoBaLiStS wAnT uS tO oWn nOtHiNg aNd bE hApPy!
But why?
Why did the Q Continuum rise up?
It's simple, really.
The Q Continuum rose up in response to Democrats winning the culture wars, taking over our schools and colleges, and working their way into corporate America.
The Q Continuum saw that traditional Republicans couldn't win by being nice, or compromising with the left, or trying to reason with liberals.
The Q Continuum rose up because there is a large fraction of the American population that is being disenfranchised AND being told to submit more and more to the left.
The Q Continuum takes everything that the left was (and still is) guilty of, including conspiracy theories, moral relativity, historical revisionism, authoritarianism, and more recently gaslighting, and adopts their tactics.
This is why the Q Continuum has given into batshit crazy conspiracy theories, uber-weird ideas, and alternate realities. They see an America that they don't recognize at all. They see a nation that is completely lost in the woods.
They genuinely believe that the left is coming for their bibles, their children, their land, their livelihoods, their possessions, and their very souls.
Are their fears exaggerated? Of course.
Are they completely unfounded? Of course not.
So when the left pushes all of these radical ideas like CRT, gender fluidity, The 1619 Project, looting is reparation, highways are racist, bakers are lItErAlLy hItLeR, etc., many on the political right are genuinely alarmed.
So are liberals at fault for the creation of the Q Continuum?
Perhaps, but ultimately no, because I still believe that people are responsible for their own decisions.
Words have meaning. Actions have consequences. And the members of the Q Continuum ultimately CHOSE to believe in their crazy-ass ideas.
They will suffer the consequences of their OWN choices, and that will impact the balance of American politics for years to come.
Mark my words.
