Indeed, it makes sense that "dirty money" is contributing to a distortion in real estate markets. I've noted a peculiarity in my local market and in some reports from other states. That is, prices are rising at the higher ends of the markets, but gradually falling at the lower ends. "Dirty money" may be at least part of the explanation for this disparity.

Still, "dirty money" flows like water from a sacred spring. It's always there.
