>> It's also a serious mistake to judge people's intelligence based on their political preferences.
Is it? If someone votes for a demonstrably stupid person, or a person known to be horrible (Adam Schiff would be an example), doesn't that speak to a person's intellect? I think it does.
>> If you can't fathom how someone who's smarter than you could ever support Kamala Harris, that would only confirm that your sense of who's smart or not is completely busted.
I do not believe a person of reasonable intellect could support her. A person can be intelligent yet poorly informed. And I know smart people who just say, "Fuck Politics; I don't care". But anyone who taken time to be involved, has listened to her trying to feign meaningful political responses in ways that are inconsistent with understanding the topic, simply could never pull the trigger on a Kam vote. You cannot conclude such a person is one of high intellect.
I understand there are political differences. California isn't Texas, and the prevailing viewpoints we live around are different. But on some level every voter must have sufficient focus on responsibility to understand basic things like, "How much more risk of a world war starting can we tolerate, don't we need someone who knows how to tamp down the move toward more war and return us to peaceful existence of four years ago?"
Don't we need to ask how much debt it too much? As a person with some finance background, I would conclude that once the interest on the national debt is having to be added to the debt itself because we can't pay it, a nation's financial collapse is unavoidable, UNLESS every move is executed perfectly. People need to make intelligent choices about their leadership, or there isn't a fighting chance.
So, to a large extent, a person who supports this incompetent woman cannot be executing in a smart way unless there are actual reasons for the decision. If the other person were more likely, for example, to get us into wars, that might justify a vote for someone else. But wait a minute. Trump got us OUT of wars, not INTO wars.
You need a pretty good reason for voting against Trump, and it cannot be "Because J6". That is not a legitimate reason, because it was not a real event. It was entirely arranged by Democrats. Which has been proven yet again today.
The votes of you and me simply don't matter, because the decision will be made in Pennsylvania. So, it isn't really worth arguing about. I just don't understand the logic by which you've reached this point. |
