Agreed. You might also expand your research toolkit to include earnings surprise. It doesn't matter in the longer run if analysts move the estimates up unless the company meets or exceeds the numbers on a regular basis. One of the reasons that DELL and CSCO are amongst the darling of the street is they beat the numbers. Doesn't hurt to have great earnings growth. ;-)
