The PBS show was the "Road to Civilization" ? What a joke. We, the human race, started off civilized.

Unfortunately the ease of life, as we became masters of our environment, allowed evil to really fuk up the human race, and that is where we are today. I am not a Bible Thumper, far from it, but the phrase "Cast out of the Garden of Eden" has a ring of truth to me.

Trade, education, and respect for other people, creates a civilized society. Forget the rest. It's baloney.

George Orwell's novel "1984" talks of "Doublespeak". Unfortunately, that is all we hear these days.

Fluent in Bullsh!t, not civilization is where we are today. You think our inner cities are good examples of "civilization"? Just like the old days, people are living in tents, but there the comparison stops. The concrete jungle is not as welcoming as the land nature first intended.
