Re: EU

I believe President Trump addressed this and would like to see a fair playing field for EU trade and if necessary use Tariffs to achieve this goal. He stated that US made autos not allowed to compete w/o EU tariffs.

I suspect this may/could run across many different sectors including Ag equipment, Ag commodities, fertilizers and energy oil & NG among other things.

Is this a move to Nationalism and/or populism for US or is this a response to EU's move to Nationalism or both.

It will be interesting to see if Trump is elected and RFK starts to deal w/ our domestic food & drug issues. One of the concerns is/was the 'quality' of our food mainly it's safety. I suspect both the US & EU could reach similar safety standard guidelines but more importantly each country s/d be focused on what their people want & need.

Some/many of these global companies are taking profits & sales over minimal standards and quality. Therefore, it is up to the local communities/governments to deal with these issues. It's a tough balance as too many mandates by government is not good either (and very expensive).
