Very interesting question, Mohan.

How does one evaluate success?

By the relative happiness of the majority of the population? Utilitarian.

By sheer population growth? Biological.

By the greatness of lasting treasures? Culture.

By wealth? Economic.

By distribution of wealth? Democratic.

By territory controlled? Empirical?

I don't know. I guess I'm talking about the greatness we learn in primary school, such as pyramids and roman aqueducts and such. Since, individually we all die anyway, it's hard to discuss success. Personally, I'd go with the chances of having healthy kids, enough money (or religion) not to worry about it, and love and lots of sex. Oh, and immortality and a gorgeous wife.

But then, I'm an American!

What say you? I am curious.
