I’ve heard an analogous story before… :)

Btw, the 1966 top was followed by a brutal range - a series of Bear and Bull markets - until the markets, eventually, broke out in 1983 - never to look back. The Dollar during that period lost about 70% of its purchasing power.

Many years ago, on the original EW-CFZ thread, I made an estimate that if you bought the 1966 top, it took you until the mid - 1990’s to get your [adjusted for inflation] money back, plus an estimated treasury bond return.
