zax, it's a chess game. Russia tells Apple to pull the app or they will ban the app store, and probably ban iPhones, too. That would totally stop iPhone users from listening to RFE. Apple knows its users in Russia can use a VPN on their iPhones to access RFE on the internet without having to use the RFE app. Russia gets the app banned, but Russian iPhone users get to keep listening to RFE. No greed, no pandering, just Apple figuring out the best way to keep providing access to RFE by iPhone users in Russia.
