GPC. I went for a few shares also.

Decided I worried too much. If stock falls further it's not going to do any damage to my portfolio (as long as I keep it at a tracking position). Conversely, if stock rises, likely won't affect portfolio much either. Although, you never know. Sometimes the dollar gains on a few shares are very good. Which is kind of a nice surprise if/when it happens. I've bought several stocks like this (tracking position after stalwart stock falls precipitously), and if I held, sometimes made decent returns, sometimes enough to where I regret not buying many more shares.

And also otoh, there are the times I did not buy because I believed the received wisdom that the drop was justified. I believed, and I could not see a recovery, and so I did not buy, I have those regrets. Anybody remember Stanley Black and Decker here? finance.yahoo.com
