As best I recall, Praecis is a private Cambridge, MA based company. I think they have a French pharm partner on a prostate cancer treatment.

Some fourth quarter biotech moves by Soros announced today:
The fund bought 1 million shares of Sofamar/Danek Group Inc. (SDG);
3.2 million shares in Pharmacia & Upjohn (PNU) and 762,000 shares in Incyte Pharmaceuticals Inc. (INCY).

The fund sold 1.3 million shares of Amgen Inc. (AMGN)

I'd never heard of SDG before - apparently they make spinal surgery products and implants.
