Morgan Stanley has also upgraded Texas Instruments
sometime last week.
TXN run up 3 points that day to 59 and change and then,
fell back to 52 only to rebound back to 55-56 where is
today (closed at 55 1/4).
If you follow Morgan Stanley's PUBLIC recommendations as
reported by financial papers (WSJ, Barron's, etc.) and
CNBC, the batting average is around 25% (eg. calls on
Hong Kong, Japan, Wien's 1000 points in the Dow fall, etc.)
How come nobody pounded the table on Intel some 40-50 points
back no more than 2-3 months ago. Could it be another
disinformation campaign a la Fidelity's Vanik story on
Micron Tehnology in 1995 ...? Just wondering because it makes
me very suspicious when a stock goes parabolic on hype. //CA
