Yes, I recall him saying that, or words to the effect. However, I do not recall him knowing whether or not vaccine deaths were extraordinarily high by that time. No matter. He still gets credit for supporting alternatives to the shots, not having called for mandated shots, and not having called for lock-downs, etc.

Moreover, I think he recognizes now the mistakes of the past, so he has the skeptic-in-chief, RFK Jr., on his team. Biases aside, I think that a strategically brilliant move.
