For the second consecutive Presidential election, I chose not to vote because I completely dismissed both candidates. It seems elections have become about choosing whom you despise the least rather than who you truly want as a leader. This is no way to run a country. Yet, it appears that neither the Republican nor the Democratic party is willing to address why there is such animosity between the two halves of the nation. It is about extremes on both size and the middle of the road member from both parties let the edges take over thier parties. The dominance of extreme factions within both major parties has sidelined moderate voices, exacerbating the divide. This polarization not only hampers effective governance but also deepens societal rifts. The focus on winning at all costs has overshadowed the need for genuine dialogue and compromise.

The most interesting outcome for me is for Trump to win by the smallest margins imaginable and see how the Democrats react. Then on Jan 6 Kamala Harris would be responsible for certifying who won. The ultimate irony
