That was quite the bomb cyclone, mercifully brief, that hit southern BC yesterday. Thanks to 100kph winds and up to 100mm rain in 18hours, many ferries were cancelled and at one point almost 300k homes were without power. Due to the extreme damage more than 10k are still without power, not a good thing as winter is closing in with much cooler temperatures and snow over higher elevations.
