hello Arrow - thx for sharing the article. I ve not read it but I think hardwares are less of a concern than the softwares. In most commercial environments, 3083s can still run the latest OS. However, the qualifying phase is "most commercial environments." I may be speaking out of ignorant, since I m not in aerospace software biz, but it is likely that it is still using some old version of TPF. One thing for certain, my guesses are flight tracking does involve ETA etc, therefore it will be a big deal. Anyway, to make the long story short, while Y2K is a serious problem, different vendors will offer up different niches... That leads me to my question <g>, will someone please update me with ISLI efforts, i.e., what kind of solution provider is it against Y2K problems, such as analyzers, manpowers and factories? TIA
rgds Bosco
p.s. sorry to see what happened to you folks today, I don't own ISLI now, but a good cyberfriend here on SI has tipped me off. I used to know ISLI as the version manager. Now, I am more interested. Thx again |
