"For example, could you offer any confidence level based on your source"

Ah, you have focused on one of the problems with bulletin boards. So many posts with "sources" not quoted (like mine). And the sources aren't quoted for good reasons. You have the same dilema that I often have when reading posts, what to believe and what not to. As to my remarks about US West, the source came from an AINN employee. But let me caution with this. Last year I had the biggest loss on any stock in my 30 years of investing. It involved NUKO (there is a thread on Nuko here on SI) and I knew an employee that would give me "insider information". I don't think my friend purpusly gave me false information but I think a lot of what I was told was more in the line of "wishful thinking" And I lost a lot of money. That is why I made a comment about some posts concerning AINN. I know as a fact that SBC has not progressed enough in its plans to make a procurement decision. In addition I know that if a decision like that is made no one at SBC would leak that information. Believe me, it wouldn't happen. So when someone posted that SBC was going to announce a $10,000,000 AINN deal I wanted to throw up because it was pure BS. This is not to say that (and I have no specific knowledge) SBC won't eventually give AINN a 10 Mil or larger deal but the process hasn't progressed enough to know. On the other hand, the US West program is quite mature and if you know what vendors they were testing, when etc. one might conclude that an announcement should follow pretty soon. When an AINN insider suggests that an announcement will be forthcoming, I do have a fairly high degree of confidence it will be so. Monday? We'll see.
I have added to my position because AINN's revenues are fairly strong even if this particular announcement isn't forth coming. But me, I believe it is.
Anyway....I have to make up for my losses on Nuko!
good luck.
