The vindictive stuff will not be improving the economy, so I don't think much time will be wasted on that. Some things do need fixing and those are bipartisan matters.

I think you are right about there being a Recession or probably a Depression. That has more to do with algebra rather then who is in the White House.

For the working person on the lower end of the pay scale, who is Treasury Secretary will be key. Especially if they own a property and are struggling on payments on a mortgage. Last time it was Steven Mnuchin, and yes he is a piece of work for anyone who suffered from his rise to power. Not much in the news yet on that crucial matter.

It doesn't matter so much who holds those financial reigns, when things get bad, compromises have to be made. Either you have a Socialist Government that has to act in a Capitalist way, or a Capitalist Government that has to act in a Socialist way, as lording over a broke society wont make for a stable nation, or make much money, even for the rich. Crisis and instability won't be good for anyone.

America First should help America though. We in the UK will be screwed, but that's our problem. Just been reviewing the new Conservative Leader in the UK ( I am not a Conservative), and at least the Tories are using their collective noodles a bit now. Should improve things. A reduction of wars will be good. If the trade is in goods and services rather then weapons fired at each other, things should get better eventually. Not saying that will be easy, but really ... who is best USA candidate suited to achieve that goal?
