Thank you for the article. It has been a while since I have contributed to this forum. I lost interest when I sold CP Rail at a
nice profit in July. It turns out it was a mistake as CP has increased
a further 10% since.
A related topic to your freight article is the news I've been reading
about the merger of Union Pacific and Southern Pacific. At first glance it seem like a very large railroad gobbling up its competitor.
On reading more about the merger, it turns out Union Pacific is building an interstate railway system to compete with the trucks on
the interstate highway system. You'll see the intermodal traffic increase dramatically in the next few years.
For example, UP is beefing up their Oakland, California to Chicago
intermodal to run in 50 hours, five hours off the fastest service to date.
Their starting a new intemodal service from New Orleans to Portland,
Oregon. Many more services to be started besides this.
As my narrative suggests, I'm looking to buy UP on a pull back.

Good luck on your investments
John
