P.S. If they were real scientists, like your SIL (even with his flaky ideas), then they shouldn't have much problem finding legitimate work there in their claimed fields, with the inviting party doing most of the legwork on appropriate visas, etc. Unlike you, and likely them, I know people that have worked and emigrated to NZ. But hey, they want to run off to start a taco stand. Are you willing to dump what's left of your savings into their tomfoolery and better yet work triple time gambling poker at your local hall? All the while not doing a damn thing for all of the poor and downtrodden people you supposedly worry about?
