One thing going for the flaming hot Treasury Secretary appointee is that he was a vital part of George Soros breaking the Bank of England way back in the day.

That's how Soros made his initial billions in the first place.

As for Bessent's politics, if he had ANYTHING to do with Soros' OSF, that would be a huge slap in the face for the Trump supporters.
