Flamethrower, how do you know all of this? Until recently, we had a dedicated bear on the thread named Hank McNabb. If his posts are to be believed he probably lost considerably more than $100k in shorting DELL based on chart reading. Before him we had Candlestick and before him we had .... I think you get the idea.

To invest on the basis of charts is like using a faith healer for medical advice. I know of no statistically validated timing strategy other than the January effect. All of the evidence in favor of chart reading and timing is strictly anecdotal, and those anecdotes are very selective.
