You want to talk about waste and underfunded expense programs within the Office of Budget there is plenty of meat on that bone but leave Social security out of it.
I'm sure Trump will want to leave SS alone because of his populist base of support.

But will Elon, for example?

Currently the deficit is at $1.9T this year, which is astronomical given that we aren't in an active war. (No, the wars in Ukraine and Israel don't count. Ending those won't have a material impact on the deficit.)
