Trump doesn't want to spend the money in Ukraine anymore. He is not phased by Putin's threats.
Then why is it likely that Trump will give everything PooTin wants, which is a complete end to US aid?

Seems to me like PooTin's threats worked like a charm. It got Brandon to limit their aid to Ukraine, which helped prolong the war, and it got Trump supporters to genuinely fear WWIII, which is why they voted for a guy who promised to end the war within 24 hours.
