DP... Was your father's Oldsmobile reliable? Maybe we (males only) are becoming more like our fathers too. Investing in more conservative stocks. CPQ had a great run up over the last several years and I believe management has made a decision that will create stability down the road and adapt the company to the changing environment. They feel they have to take this step back, short term, to survive in the future. (This might still be ahead of DELL) Little consolation to think one should have been in DELL now and moved to CPQ later. I also expected CPQ to be different at this point, given the market. Didn't foresee the merger. Caught off guard. Momentum stock? How much does SGP have left at 40XPE It's a money machine. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a fun thread like CPQ. Loki
