There is a lot of wild (and baseless) speculation of how things might change from Biden to Trump regarding future of Chips Act. But, according to Patrick Moorehead, first Trump administration was in early stages of preparing for their own Chips Act. Moorehead was apparently contracted to gather data for planning of it. Success of TSMC in Arizona may provide argument for another phase of it. Maybe under some creative way to structure / finance it.
