Christ first revealed himself to a non-Jewish woman who brought him water, in doing so he opened up his mission of salvation to all mankind.

Christ by his life, death and resurrection fulfilled Old Testament prophecy with HIS living water.

When Rome collapsed the administrative class jumped ship and formed the Catholic Church, this unfortunately changed the mission and message of Christianity for 2000 years.
