JR, My 'gut' suspects its really Tuesday afternoon; based on what happened to me with the MACR calls awhile ago. Personally, I think my broker should know Monday morn when he walks in the door at 8:30am what the status of covered calls are that expired the day before. But in my case it was a joke; one day my shares were not 'called away' (Monday) and then Tuesday afternoon "surprise" I had 45 % of my MACR holdings 'called' away ! The excuse was all this random/clearinghouse stuff; but still Saturday means Saturday; not sometime Tuesday afternoon.
