Because it is fundamental to everything that occurred leading up to Oct 7 (and in fact was Oct 7 happened in the first place, once Biden gave Iran the money). And the reason the response to Oct 7 could be and was what it has been: There is general agreement that there can be no stability for Palestine with terrorists occupying Gaza and elsewhere. And everyone knows that. The objective is you have to have a modern economic system in Gaza, and that cannot exist without a civilized security situation. The Iranians attacked to make sure that doesn't happen.
