Ukraine fires several US-made longer-range missiles into Russia for the first time

According to a U.S. official, Ukraine fired about eight of the missiles, and just two were intercepted by the Russians. The official said that the U.S. was still assessing battle damage, but that the missiles struck an ammunition supply location in Karachev, a city of about 18,000 people in Russia’s Bryansk region.

It didn't take long. US declared change in policy governing launch of long-range missiles into Russian territory, followed one day later by Russia amending its nuclear policy and the next day by the Ukraine and the Americans following through on the escalation. It remains to be seen whether this strike has any significance in the outcome of the war to draw a response from the Russians.
