Universal Geneve Unveils Trio Of Polerouter Tribute Watches Ahead Of 2026 Relaunch hodinkee.com The company currently controlling Breitling (believe Private Equity), also recently took control of the UG brand which had changed hands several times over recent decades in the aftermath of the quartz revolution. UG is a storied brand but unsure if this is the best time for this type of overpriced watch reissue, imo. I hope better plans are in store and have several UG stories to tell. But the history of this micro-rotor automatic movement is important for UG and mechanical watchmaking in general, imo. P.S. I believe the story goes that the Henri Stern Watch Agency, and please anyone disprove this publicly or privately... the story goes that they only ever carried two watch brands. The first was Patek Philippe which they now own. And the other was Universal Geneve.
