Well after all this fuss about standards, it would be a real kick in the rear if V.90 were slower than x2. I could see a difficult discussion with any ISP that says they have V.90 up and I could only connect at 33K, so in fact an x2 provider seems the most logical choice until there is enough anecdotal evidence that it is working universally.

For me bit rate talks, bs walks.

Interesting note: "bs" is not flagged by spelling, leaving one to surmise that it must be up there in frequency on these threads. :^)
