WGX, ARK, CEE, MAI

West Australian gold miner Westgold Resources aka WGX continued their media blitz with the release of what they are calling an investor update, which consists of a series of slides. The only important datum I did not already know was that they will be bringing the Great Fingall underground mine at Cue in the Murchison Goldfields into production in Q2, but it was still a very useful review of all WGX has going on. Do check out the triangle on p. 19 that displays how many development assets the company now holds.

Arras Minerals aka ARK released an update on the ongoing exploration for Cu/Ag porphyries in Kazakhstan subject to their Exploration Alliance with Teck. Among the activities were extensive mapping and sampling, multiple programmes of geophysics, and preliminary drilling to outline hidden targets under cover.

The Alliance was able to identify dozens of new undrilled prospective targets, so now the parties are priorizing which of them will be drilled in 2025. We can expect to receive full details in 2-3 months.

The trumpeter is warming up to play The Last Post for African gold miner Centamin aka CEE. They have received court approval for the takeover by AngloGold Ashanti, and CEE's shares will be delisted from the TSX today and from the LSE in a few days.

Too bad -- I really liked the direction the company had taken the last few years.

Wondering why the shares of Minera Alamos aka MAI are down today. They announced an $8.5M PP at 30 cents a share that surprised both me and the market. At least they were no warrants included...
