DEI Training Linked to Increased Hostility

A recent study conducted by the Network Contagion Research Institute in collaboration with Rutgers University has found that certain Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training materials might lead to increased hostility, authoritarian tendencies, and perceptions of nonexistent prejudice among participants. This study drew attention on social media when posts claimed major outlets like The New York Times and Bloomberg declined to publish stories on these findings. The research specifically examined the impact of materials inspired by works like 'How to Be an Antiracist' by Ibram X. Kendi and 'White Fragility' by Robin DiAngelo, suggesting these trainings might not only fail to address systemic issues but could potentially exacerbate racial tensions.
