Just returned from a week in Vegas and of course visited the MGM Rain. The location is fantastic and so were the crowds. Ate there Thursday night and the place was mobbed. The sale at the retail store that has been mentioned many times was also in place at MGM Rain. At 7:30pm the reastaurant was full with over an hour wait. Retail was extremely busy with people buying. At this location there are Tees with Rainforest LAS Vegas logos which I think is
very imortant for a resort location.Talked with waitress about traffic at the restaurant and was told that it has been picking up lately with the beginning of the show and convention season. Not to give impression that I was told that Rain had not been doing buisness but just that the lines and the amount of people showing up to brouse the retail and have ameal has increased dramatically in the last two weeks. This week was Valintines Day a real
biggy in Vegas and the Womens Wear Daily Magic show was at the convention center. MY immpression of this Rain and I have seen all But Mall of America is that it will be a winner for the chain. In fact the waiter told me they are the second largest grossing unit as of right now. January and Feb. are the slowest months in Vegas so I would say this unit is just starting to build to its potential. Just as anside stock closed At 15.00 with 10000 on the
bid.
