Does anyone know if Felderhof is making any effort to carry out de'Guzeman's ultimate wish and make sure the school/shrine in his homeland gets built. [by the way, it's interesting if this was really discussed in advance betweeen a forty year old geologist and his much older boss. Usually, in my experience, these are not missions to be undertaken in mid-life. Why would it be discussed with a foreigner boss, rather that a younger Phil. wife or son?] Anyway, anyone who has worked with Philippine catholics knows how important the completion of such undertakings is, and would empathise with the idea that M de'G would have derived some peace and redemption in the thought of his traditional parting gift to the Philippinas as he made his final exit. Considering that de'Guzemans demise means that any eventual squealing on offsite staff by the other Phil. workers will never be seen as credible (as Felderhoff can claim he never gave any direct instructions to any of them, only to de Guzeman), something of that sort is the least that Felderhoff should do.
IMO
