2024: Still no touch-screen desktops / laptops. Still sitting at 15% desktop market share, compared to 73% for Windows. Planned obsolescence. Everything, especially software either unavailable or much more expensive. Not for me. Maybe two people of 100 use it at my office. IT just loves them.
On mobile I'm an Android guy, will take flexibility, customization, software variety and freedom every day of the week.
Samsung, unfortunately, has copied Apple in getting rid of the expandable memory, at least in their flagship phones, since the S20. Not happy about that; like Apple, for them memory is a way to milk customers for money now. The mark-ups are obscene. If another manufacturer offered a flagship in the US with memory sim slot option, I'd bail on Samsung in a New York minute.
But if think of your computer as a fashion accessory, Apple is definitely the place for you. |
